Advance Motel Tours

Our tours are available to groups of all ages all year. Tours can be tailored to your requirements; however our pre-planned tours run over 6 days. Minimum numbers of 15 apply and cost between $900 and $1,000 per person.

Quality, Food, Wine, and History are 4 words that describe our tours which incorporate the 5 food and wine regions. Beechworth, Bright, Rutherglen, Glenrowan, and Milawa. 

Our tours are not your average tour. Every restaurant, winery and attraction is hand selected and of the highest quality.

There is no rock left un-turned during the planning of these trips with high recommendations available for viewing at Trip Advisor.

Twin, single or multi share accommodation is available. Either combination is in one of our executive suites.

Catering for Seniors

When booking an Advance Motel Tour, you know you are in good hands. A full time Tour Leader is allocated to assist at every turn, ground floor suites and special touches to ensure you feel at home.

Special dietary needs are catered for and a well deserved rest day is included if so desired. 

As the accommodation is centrally located to all of the regions we visit means that only relatively short distances on the coach are required to reach our daily destinations. That means no need to rise before 7 am and we get home at a reasonable hour at night. Overall, there is more of experiencing the surrounding regions rather than watching them go by while travelling on the coach. 

As our tours are of high quality, dining at many restaurants and wineries are part of the package. We understand that restaurant quality food can at times be “rich” and not always suitable to sensitive stomachs, we do hand select the menu to ensure it is balanced, satisfying and of “top restaurant” standard.

For your peace of mind, Chemists, Doctors and Hospitals are just a few minutes away if required.

We do understand that sometimes things just don’t go to plan, which is why our seniors cancellation policy includes a full refund if cancelled prior to 30 days prior to arrival.

Although our existing tours are fabulous tours, we are more than happy to individualise a tour to meet specific requirements.

Minimum groups of 15 are required to secure a tour which are particularly suited to Probus Groups or other seniors organisations.

Current Tours

Tales, Trails and Tastings Tour (6 days) This tour incorporates Bright activities and or festivities.  A full day at Beechworth takes you back in time when visiting the Beechworth Jail, La Trobe Mental Asylum (now a university) and Courthouse where a re-enactment of the sentencing of Ned Kelly takes place.   Lunch at Gi’Gi’s Restaurant is one of the many amazing restaurants included in the Itinerary.  A live performance by Historian and entertainer “Lazy Harry” at the famous King River Café at Oxley is scheduled as are plenty of wine tastings, one of which is at Brown, Brothers – Milawa.

Touch of Europe Tour (6 days) Departs 23rd June 2013 Group tours and flexible dates are also available at Advance Motel upon request. This tour is very much about Food & Wine.  The tour incorporates wineries from each region and include All Saints at Rutherglen, Brown Brothers at Milawa, Baileys at Glenrowan, Amulet Winery at Beechworth and more.   An evening of live entertainment by the amazing Paris Zachari over a brilliant dinner at Rinaldo’s Wangaratta is a part of the Itinerary.   A day at Beechworth is filled with the history of Ned Kelly, La Trobe Mental Asylum (Now La Trobe University)  and a step back in time when you visit the old telegraph station where you can ACTUALLY send a real telegram. Other highlights include live entertainment by "Lazy Harry" a  Murder Mystery Evening and Wine Tasting Master Class. The  Advance Motel  6 day  2013 Touch of Europe Tour is departing on 23rd June 2013 from Geelong.  Pick ups via coach include Southern Cross Station Melbourne.  Interstate attendees have the option of travelling via V-Line to Wangaratta where you will be picked up by Fallons Coaches to begin the tour.
